Paul continues in his letter to Titus to impress the importance to avoid controversy until you can’t. Walk away when you can.

Drama is everywhere in our everyday lives. For example; weather forecasting, the economy, crime, work drama, and school. We can’t hide completely from drama, it’s a magnet. People are drawn to it. And we help it grow by our sinfulness. So, it’s important that we focus on doing the right things.

Don’t let yourself be distracted by all of the crazy around you. It’s easy to spend time chasing after people, we can’t really be helped. But keep your focus on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith.

Don’t just go through the motions; go to church, sing a few songs, take communion, listen to a sermon, bowed during the prayers. That’s not what it means to follow Jesus. To truly follow Jesus you must be transformed, be changed.

We are here to glorify God. Wherever you find yourself, you can bring him glory through service, loving people, helping out however you can. Use your gifts that he’s given you.

Allow God to change you from the inside out. He puts you on the path to do good things, but it’s up to you to stay focused on the task. The job that you find yourself in is not necessarily what your purpose is. It’s all part of God’s plan.

Combat the drama in life by knowing your purpose and don’t let trivial things take you away from your purpose. What’s the real issue? What’s worth fighting for?

Take heed to Paul’s instruction in these verses:

Don’t waste your time if the person doesn’t pay attention to your warning. Sometimes you can’t help them fix it, they have to find out the hard way. Answer them to help correct them, but don’t spin your wheels trying to convert them to a believer if they continue to act like a nonbeliever.

We may feel like we have to fix things, like God doesn’t exist. Some things only He can fix.

Avoid controversy when you can. Some things we stand up to– for God, grace, forgiveness, and intentionality.

Let God change you from the inside out.

Commit to guarding unity of the Bride of Christ.

We should love and have unwavering commitment to God’s Kingdom.

Stay in the Word and be in prayer for God to change you from the inside out.

In Faith,

Pam
