I’ve just finished reading Song Cycle by Jon Nicol. This is a great resource for learning how to help your congregation be able to connect in worship through the songs that you sing by making sure they know them well. As worship team members, we hear these songs many times more than the average church goer. Jon explains why a small list of songs to choose from can help your congregation learn them and be able to sing them out. In using this method, I’ve noticed a huge difference in the engagement of our people during worship. You can find it here!

I’ve been reading several books on leading worship recently. Holy Roar by Chris Tomlin and Darren Whitehead is the one I’m reading currently. It’s an easy read, but so full of great insight into the seven Hebrew words that mean praise and how they can relate to the worship in our churches and homes now. Great read!
