What Would You Do?

I was just listening to Sunday’s sermon again…I feel like there’s so much that I miss on Sunday morning. Listening again gives me an opportunity to tune everything else out and see what stands out this time. Any way, here’s my reflection this morning…

What if you knew the end of the world was coming in 3 months? Would you live differently? What would you do differently? Would you reach out to as many people as you could so that they would be saved or would you spend that time holding your family closer? Would you pray more; spend more time reading the Bible; go to church more often; would you praise God more? Would you start new ministries as an outreach? What could you do that would really make a difference to the world?

There’d be no reason to pack because you can’t take anything with you. Would you be frantically obsessing over the future? Don’t be anxious, but whatever you feel you would do in that circumstance, don’t you think you should be doing that now? After all, no one knows the time of Jesus’ return except the Father. He’s allowing time for as many to be saved as possible. But the world as we know it will end. Maybe not in my lifetime, maybe tomorrow. We are told to be ready because “the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:2

Are you ready?

In Faith,

Pam
