I Am Molded By The Potter’s Hand

“…Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, Israel.” – Jer. 18:6b NIV

I have always loved this illustration of God being involved in our lives. A potter throws the clay before he begins to mold it. In a similar way, God prepares us for the trials of life that we must endure.

Sometimes we go through many ups and downs, suffering scrapes and bruises along the way. But these serve as character building times that prepare us for what lay ahead. God knows what our future holds, so he can ready us for the times that we’re in the desert, so to speak.

When we are shaped into the vessel he wants us to be, there is still the trial of the furnace. This is a time when we are in an incredibly rough time. It could be financial, health, death, family issues or any number of other crises that can send us into a tailwind. Just remember, God is there to help us through. Faith is the key to getting through any trial. But you’ve got to be in it for the long haul. Sometimes we don’t get our answer right away. So be faithful while you wait. Don’t give up because God will come through.

God is still working on me and I’m still dealing with a few bumps and bruises along the way. But, I won’t let Satan get his hold on me. He may try to put doubt in my head, but I refuse to let his lies take hold of me. I want to see the finished product God has in mind for me.

Thank you, Father, for your patience with me. Mold me into the servant you have in mind. Make me the one to do your will.

In Faith,

Pam
