Why did the word bold begin my day today? That’s the message I got this morning as I began my day. What am I going to do today that will require me to be bold? It may not just be for today. That may be something I need to focus on for a season.
Does God work that way in your life, too? It’s not a word that I hear him speak out loud, not even a whisper. Those were the words that came out of my mouth, “God, help me be bold.” I asked, “Did I just say that?” Yes, and I want to be bold in what God has in store for me!
Does God really ask people to be bold in His name? That’s obvious just by reading many of the Biblical accounts. God brought the Messiah into the world using a young virgin and a carpenter to nurture him. Moses wasn’t a mighty leader when God told him to bring His people up out of slavery in Egypt. But look what God did through him? He is one of the faithful followers that children learn about today in Sunday school.
What is it that God wants you to be bold about? Is he preparing you for something bigger than you could dream? Is He stirring something in your heart? Can you feel it? I feel the beginnings of a resurgence in faith. Not necessarily a Christian thing, but a “God-thing”! He wants us to proudly proclaim that we are believers and He is our God. Our faith is in Him!
I want to be BOLD today and every day. To feel God using me to reach out to others and share his love and the gift of Jesus Christ. What is God asking you to be bold about? I’d love for you to share your story about boldness in the comments!
In Faith,
Pam
