Slow To Take Offense

“Let every man be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to take offense and to get angry. James 1:19

As I was reading a devotional before I went to bed tonight, this verse in James 1:19 spoke to me. “understand, my beloved brethren. Let every man be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to take offense and to get angry.”

This hadn’t been on my mind at all, but the words struck me with such truth that I read it again. I need to heed these words and be slow to react without giving thought to the consequences of my actions.

Sometimes I react without considering the result of my hasty reactions and then I end up deeply regretting it. So, tonight I will meditate on this scripture as I feel the Spirit bringing it to my attention for a reason.

Do all things In Faith,

Pam
