Spread The Good News

But regarding Israel, God said, “All day long I opened my arms to them, but they were disobedient and rebellious.” -Romans 10:21

But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news?” Romans 10:14-15

I ran across this scripture this morning while reading my Bible and it spoke to me concerning the time we are living in. COVID-19 has many of us scared to the point of paralysis, fearing to go out in public. That is wise because of the way this disease spreads so quickly. But, that doesn’t mean that we quit spreading the word of God.

How can people believe in God if they’ve never heard of him? That means we all need to share the news. Just because we are in isolation doesn’t mean that we stop sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, the Savior who died to cover our sins and give us life forever with him in heaven. He was crucified and died on a cross, but rose 3 days later just as scripture had been written.

So, when you are talking to people on the phone or communicating through social media, don’t pass up an opportunity to share of your faith in Jesus Christ. Live your life by being like Jesus. Love like Jesus loves. That is the hope we hold to.

I know it may sound like a fairy tale. But I believe. Read your Bible to find out more. There are Bibles online if you don’t have one. I use the YouVersion app for my Bible study and devotionals. I hope that you’ll come to know him in the time you are sheltering in place. And when this is all over, run to the church of your choice.

In Faith,

Pam
