As we continue our look at Galatians, we find Paul urging the new Christians to be aware that those who live by the law are under a curse…

10 For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: ”Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” 11 Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because ”the righteous will live by faith.” 12 The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, it says, ”The person who does these things will live by them.” 13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law be becoming a curse for us, for it is written: ”Cursed is everyone who in hung on a pole.” 14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might receive the promise of the Spirit.
Galatians 3:10-14
If one chooses to live by the law, they must live a sinless life and we know that we are sinners. As sinners, we come under the curse, and can’t redeem ourselves. Therefore we must accept the sacrifice that Jesus took our sins upon himself when he went to the cross. Faith in Jesus Christ is the only way that we can be found righteous in God’s sight.
So it doesn’t make sense to think that you can you can live this life on your own terms. To refuse to accept Jesus to be your Savior will lead to an eternity with Satan. I can’t understand why people don’t want to accept the gift of life everlasting and the joy that come from a life serving God. To give up your life now is to save it for eternity. The life we live now on earth is not the way we will live in heaven.
